Culver City Ferret Friendly City Efforts

But alas, the Culver City city council voted 3 to 2 not to officially support ferret legalization.

Megan provided the mayor and council members will all the information on why they should support the efforts;

That a city proclamation gives a citizen’s effort to legalize ferrets credibility needed to advance through the legislature, that as an underfunded group we haven’t had access to legislators and all politics are local.

The city council evening didn’t start out right with Culver City Animal Control Director Corolla Fleeger telling the city council that half the ferrets impounded in the city were not sterilized. Which simply isn’t true and an ignorant statement at that. You can’t tell if a female ferret is sterilized by their appearance.

Never-the-less, Culver City discussed the issue and we continue to inch forward with more ferret friendly city efforts to come. Great work everyone at the Angel City Ferret Club.
