WESTERN STATES FERRET ROUND UP: EVENT RULES

Rules for Ferrets:

  • Proof of current immunizations for Canine Distemper Vaccine, Rabies Vaccine is required for EACH ferret for Show entrance!
  • No ferret less than 16 weeks (4 mo) or over 7 years of age
  • No ferret in heat (estrus), pregnant, lactating (nursing) or with kits less than 16 weeks of age.
  • No ferrets in ill-health, such as diarrhea, cough, rash, etc.
  • No ferret allows with removal of teeth or claws
  • No ferret that is less than 1-month post-surgery
  • No BITING: a ferret that bites be contained at all times and cannot be entered into a Show event.
  • No parasites (fleas, etc.)
  • Nails should be clipped
  • All ferrets must be kept in an appropriate cage or travel carrier that includes bedding, food, water, litter tray.
  • No study service permitted on site.
  • No animals other than ferrets (including service dogs) are permitted in the Event Hall.

Rules for People:

  • COVID Pos, fever, cough, cold? – STAY HOME!!
  • Children 14 years or younger must be accompanied by an Adult
  • No SMOKING, ALCOHOL, RECREATIONAL DRUGS in Show area!
  • Do not leave ferrets or children unattended.
  • No ferrets (or young children) allowed free to roam.
  • Keep your ‘paws’ off other people’s ferrets.
  • No solicitation, except by event vendors in accordance with Show vendor agreement .
  • No promotional materials may be placed in any common areas, including registration area, dining area, restrooms, etc., without prior written consent of Show management.
  • Please dispose all litter–yours and your ferrets’– in proper receptacles.
