“Could we sue the Fish and Game Commission for classifying the Domestic Ferret as a Wild Animal?”
In March of 2013, LegalizeFerrets.org hired an attorney to determine if the rights of California ferrets owners were being violated because the California Fish and Game Commission classified domestic ferrets as wild animals, and thus illegal.
No hearing has ever been conducted – our pets were arbitrarily classified as wild and we haven’t been able to challenge that.
Would a lawsuit against the California Fish and Game Commission have much chance for success? Alas, the answer was probably not.
